We also know how difficult it is to get into, pay for, and graduate from college these days. While 60% of jobs in America require a college degree (and quickly growing), about half of students won't finish college even after 6 years.
Since tuitions have more than doubled in 10 years, with average tuition topping $120,000, failure is not an option. But it is an all too common reality.
The fact is that it takes much more than the "right" scores or the "right" connections to succeed. Students need life skills -- a problem-solving approach, discipline, organization, and good habits -- to not only achieve the scores they need to get into college, but to continue to achieve once in college and beyond.
That's what we do at Whole Tutoring. We focus on every aspect of your child's behavior and outlook that is preventing him or her from achieving her potential. This is not done through laborious and time-consuming psychological exams, but in the process of learning.
Getting the "right" score is as critical today as ever, but it's not enough. Research shows that students unprepared to think critically and independetntly are more likely to drop out than finish at all.
